Kishan Dilip Singh Baghel Memorial Degree College was founded by the visionary Shri Devi Singh Baghel Ji in the memory of his revered parents, Late Smt. Ramkali Devi and Late Shri Dilip Singh Baghel Ji. With deep respect for his father’s memory, Shri Devi Singh Baghel Ji dedicated himself to the noble cause of providing higher education to the youth of the region. He had a dream that the students of this area should not have to travel far for quality higher education. His vision and dedication led to the establishment of a college in a rural area to empower the students with quality education and a bright future.
The founder believed that education up to the graduate level was essential for the overall development of the region. Realizing the importance of disciplined, resourceful, and well-structured education, he committed himself to establishing an institution that would cater to these needs. His tireless efforts and devotion towards education inspired many. With this vision in mind, the foundation of this college was laid on 6th April 2009. Since then, the college has been providing education in the fields of arts, science, and commerce.
The college is affiliated with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. As of July 2011, undergraduate courses like B.A. (All Subjects), B.Sc. (Bio, Maths, Computer Science), and B.Com. are being offered, with over 2500 students currently enrolled. In July 2016, B.Sc. (Biotech) was also added, recognized as an employment-oriented course by the government and the university. Admissions for this course began in July 2016.
To promote employment, the college also offers B.Ed. programs (NCTE approved, Jaipur), with admissions for the academic sessions of 2016 and 2017 already in process.
To fulfill the academic aspirations of students, postgraduate courses like M.A. (English & Sociology) and M.Sc. (Maths & Chemistry) have also been initiated from 1st July 2016.

Mr. Rakesh Baghel, Director of K.D.S. Baghel College, Agra, has been a guiding force in the growth and development of the institution since its establishment. Kishan Dilip Singh Baghel Memorial Degree College was established on 6 April 2009 and is affiliated with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. The college campus offers a clean, beautiful environment with excellent drinking water facilities, lush green parks, and comfortable seating arrangements for students. The campus includes large classrooms, a modern computer lab, a vast open playground, and a rich library with thousands of books for students.
Through Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, the college has made remarkable progress within just five years of its establishment. Over the past years (2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15), the college has achieved a 100% pass rate in university examinations. The current courses offered include B.Sc. (Bio, Maths) with 480 seats, B.A. with 420 seats, B.Com with 180 seats, and Computer Science with 180 seats, all affiliated with the university.
Our college is the first in this region to offer M.Sc. (Bio-Tech), B.Com., B.A., B.Sc. (Bio, Maths), B.Sc. Computer Science, and B.Sc. (Bio-Tech). From the academic session 2016-2017, the college will also start B.T.C., B.Ed., M.A., and M.Sc. programs. This will make our college the leading co-educational institution in the region after reputed institutions like Agra College and St. John’s College.
To fulfill the growing demand of the students, we will also introduce professional courses such as B.P.Ed., B.P.E., LLB, B.Sc. Home Science, M.Sc. Home Science, B.A. Education, Psychology, and Drawing. Additionally, special emphasis will be given to technical and vocational education like ITI courses.
The college pays equal attention to extracurricular activities, with N.S.S. and N.C.C. training to prepare students for national service and discipline. We are determined to guide and motivate our students towards a successful career and a bright future, helping them achieve their life goals.
